Welcome to Chipstead, Coulsdon
and Walcountians Cricket Club.
We are lucky enough to play our cricket at one of the
most beautiful grounds in Surrey, in the heart of Chipstead village. And since
our new clubhouse was opened to mark the club's 150th anniversary in 2010, we
now boast the facilities to match these splendid surroundings. The Club is
accredited with the ECB Clubmark
We field 4 adult teams on Saturdays throughout the
season. On the back of 4 promotions in the last 5 years, our 1st XI is playing
in Division 1 of the Surrey Championship in 2015. Our second and third teams
also play in the Surrey Championship, and our fourth team plays friendly
fixtures throughout the season. We have two Sunday teams: the 1st XI and the
2nd XI play friendly games against village teams across Surrey and Sussex.
The club has a thriving colts section for boys and
girls aged 6 to 16 years. In 2015 the club is fielding sides in the East Surrey
League and Cup at U10, U11, U13, U14 and U15 level. The Saturday 4th XI and
Sunday 2nd XI offer an introduction to adult cricket for the older colts, with
opportunities to progress as they develop. In 2011 our all-conquering Under 15 team were Surrey Champions, and by 2013 five members of that
team had progressed to play in the club's 1st XI.
From May to August, weather permitting, there are
adult net practices at the club from 6.30pm every Thursday evening, and our colts sessions start at 6.15pm every Friday. We have several
ECB Level 2 qualified coaches, and all our coaches have DBS criminal records
checks. For details of indoor nets in the winter, please check our News pages.
New members, adult or junior of all abilities are
always welcome. Please come along to one of the practice sessions, or get in
touch with our Club Secretary, Andy Washer, at info@ccwcc.co.uk
Access to Cricket without Discrimination and Affordable to all.
We have Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) status,
and as such are proud to be able to say that we are open to the whole community
without discrimination.
A key part of CASC is that we make Cricket affordable
to all. In line with guidelines, we
guarantee that anyone can actively participate for less than £520 per
year. In many cases, the actual cost is
far less than this. Our Club Secretary
will be happy to discuss and provide further details of this upon request.
Our ground and/or our clubhouse are available for hire
for cricket fixtures or social events. For details of ground hire, please
contact Paul Flower, at hire@ccwcc.co.uk Queries on hire of the clubhouse for social events
should also be addressed to Paul Flower, at hire@ccwcc.co.uk
